CUP held their third Two day Workshop on “Creating Child Writers” on 18th & 19th July 2015 with the students of Sri Damsara Sunday School, also the members of the CUP’s 10th Little Library at Sri Bodhirukkaramaya, Julampitiya, Weeraketiya. Thirty members of the library and four youth were given the opportunity to take part in this workshop.

Mr Rinesh Fernandopulle together with CUP Organization donated a Braille writer to Poojani Senanayake. She is currently studying in Year Ten at the School for the Blind, Ratmalana. Poojani is a beneficiary of the CUP Sisu Diriya scholarship and this donation will help her immensely towards her education.

Children’s Upliftment Programme (CUP) opened its 36th Little Library at Silawathurei Pandaraweli Village, in the district of Mannar benefitting close to 350 students in the area. CUP is proud to announce that it has covered all the districts with at least with one Little Library in each district.

Children’s Upliftment Programme (CUP) opened its 35th Little Library at Iranapallei Tamil Mixed Government School. Approximately 250 students in the school will have access to reading.

This project was sponsored jointly by Meers Chaminda Udamalagala and Shanil Senerath.

10th anniversary of CUP was celebrated by donating of mini recorders to the blind teachers who teach at the School for the Blind, Rathmalana.
