Heshika and her mother visit uncle Manula and his family at their residence in Kirulapone on 24th August 2010. An assessment made on this visit regarding Heshika’s school work won her accolades and a number of gifts. CUP officials Mr. Harsha Gomes and Mrs.N.T.A.Dissanayake and Heshika’s grand father participated for the occasion.

A Sisu Diriya Scholarship to Amali |

Sandil Methmin Munasinghe, studies at Royal institute, Nugegoda in Grade 4-C became one of the youngest Sisu Diriya Scholarship donors when he came forward to help little Amali Imasha. Amali is a grade 3 student at Holy family Convent, Dehiwala who has shown a lot of talent for dancing as well as drawing.
24th of August 2010 was an important day for both Sandil and Amali as their parents met with CUP officials to finalize the details of the scholarship.

Yasanga Peries has benefited under Sisu Diriya Scholarship scheme. The donor of Yasanga is Mr. Harsha Gomes. The certificate and the first donation were given to Yasanga on 24th August 2010 at CUP Office. Yasanga is presently studying at Sumaga Pre-school, Rajagiriya. She has shown lot of talents for drawing.

Children’s Upliftment Programme (CUP) together with Bosath children’s Educational Foundation (BCEF) conducted a free IT Training programme for the students of the Sunday school at Sri Paramavishuddaramaya Temple, Katuwawala. An award ceremony of the 2nd batch was held on the 19th of June 2010 for the students who successfully completed the six moth beginners and advanced course of this programme.
