Sisu Diriya Scholarship to Himasha |

Tharuki Sedara Senarath became one of the youngest Sisu Diriya Scholarship
donors when she came forward to help little Himasha Katangoda. Himasha is a
grade 6 student at Anula Vidyalaya, Nugegoda who has shown a lot of talent for
dancing.17th of October 2009 was an important day for both Tharuki
and Himasha as their parents met with CUP officials to finalize the details of
the scholarship.

Sisu Diriya Scholarship to Eranga |

Little Vinuk, has volunteered to sponsor Eranga Abeysinghe
of Central College, Piliyandala for his studies. He was able to score marks 130
at Grade V Examination 2008.The first instalment of this donation was handed over
at CUP Office on the 17th of October 2009 by Vinuk Sedara Senarath.

Sisu Diriya Scholarship to little Praveen |

To commemorate World Children's Day, CUP organised a special ceremony on
the 01st of October 2009 to present a SISU DIRIYA scholarship to Praveen
Damsara Ekanayaka, a student of Sadhana Pre School, Divulapitiya.
Praveen, the only child in his family, lost his father during the war and now lives with his mother.

CUP Annual eye camp at Honnathara temple, Piliyandala |

The annual eye camp organized by CUP was held at Honnathara temple, Piliyandala this year. 100 children of the Sunday school were examined on the 16th of August 2009. At this camp and spectacles were donated to 20 selected children on the 27th of September 2009. This project was sponsored by Mr.S.A.Dissanayake and Mr.Nishantha Perera.

Yenuri de Silva who studies in grade two at Sussex College, Nugegoda became one of the youngest Sisu Diriya Scholarship donors when she came forward to help little Tamudi Gimhani. Tamudi is a grade 5 student at Somaweera Chandrasiri Vidyalaya, Piliyandala who has shown a lot of talent for dancing.
