A new IT Centre for the children of Colombo South was declared open on
the 20th of April at Rathanaarama Temple, Polhengoda. This project is funded by
Bosath Childrens' Education Foundation. The administration and management of
this IT project is by the Children's Upliftment Programme. The project will
provide an opportunity for the children of the area to gain knowledge in the
field of Information Technology free of charge
Chaturika from
Kalinga Mawath, Kirulapone gets benefited by Sisu Diriya Scholarship Scheme.
She has performed her talents in Sports, Dancing and Social Work, well.
Currently Chathirika works as a teacher at Rathana Arama Sunday School.
Ms.N.T.A.Dissanayake – Director CUP, becomes the benefactor to assist
Chathirika to further her studies.

The opening of another Little Library
(Singithi Poth Gula) at Rathana Arama Temple, Polhengoda was held on
01.11.2008. Ms.N.T.A.Dissanayake – Director CUP, Mr.Madushanka Abeygunawardena
– Member CUP, Mr.Harsha Gomes – Member CUP, were participate at this event.
This event was organized by the children of the Rathana Arama Sunday School.
One Day Eye Camp at Parama Vishuddaramaya Temple - Katuwawala

To mark the "World Sight Day" the CUP organized a special eye
camp for the children at parama Vishuddaramaya Temple, Katuwawala on 25th
October 2008.
77 children were examined and 30 out of them were selected for
providing spectacles and special treatment. This eye camp was funded by
Mrs.Rani Weerasooria, member – CUP.
Another little daughter gets benefited by Sisu Diriya Scholarship Scheme. She is Priyanka from Panadura Mahanama Vidyalaya. She has performed exactly in her studies. Mr. G. Heraliyawala now becomes the benefactor to assist Priyanka to further her studies.
