The programme was carried out in collaboration with Richard Trading Pvt Ltd, demonstrating the power of community partnerships in shaping a brighter future. Special thanks go to Mrs. Dilani Wijethunga for her generous support and keen interest in sponsoring this initiative.
The event was held at Sri Rathanalankara Dhamma School, where its students were the direct beneficiaries. Members of the CUP team gathered to engage with the children, encouraging and inspiring them throughout their educational journey. The initiative focused not only on distributing essential learning materials but also on fostering hope, resilience, and confidence among young minds.
A special note of appreciation goes to Mr. Leslie Armstrong, whose dedicated contribution played a key role in making this initiative a success. His commitment reflects the spirit of service that continues to drive the CUP mission forward.
Addressing the gathering, Dr. Nadee Dissanayake delivered a powerful message on perseverance and determination. She emphasized that while life presents many challenges, education must never be abandoned. Encouraging the children to remain focused on their dreams, she highlighted the importance of facing obstacles with courage and continuing their learning journey despite difficulties.
“Challenges are a part of life, but they should never become a reason to stop learning. Education is your strength, carry it forward no matter what,” she noted.
The event was marked by smiles, enthusiasm, and a renewed sense of motivation among the children. Through initiatives like this, CUP continues to bridge gaps in access to education while nurturing creativity, resilience, and confidence in the next generation.
