Sisu Diriya Scholarship - Samajee Dulmini

Hansajith“Sisu Diriya" scholarship programme, one of the main projects of CUP, which offers financial support to needy students in their education, reached its '100th beneficiary' recently.

Students, selected based on their performance in education receive financial assistance for their education from grade 6 up to Advanced Level, by philanthropists who volunteer to sponsor a student.

Samajee Dulmini, a grade six student of Darmapala Maha Vidyalaya,Pannipitiya became the lucky recipient of this generous scholarship this time and she is sponsored by Mr. Hansageeth Navarathna , an Engineer at W.K. Construction (Pvt) Ltd.

A simple ceremony to mark this occasion was held at the BMICH on 23rd May 2014. The beneficiaries, their parents and CUP Officials, Lal Saranapala - President, Harsha Gomes - Vice President, Nadee Dissanayake - Secretary, Nishanatha Perera – Assistant Treasurer, Damayanthi Perera - Member were present at the event.
