"Kalu Awatharaya" - Children Story Book Launched

The Children's Upliftment Programme (CUP) in association with the financial sponsor of Mrs Swaruparani Weerasooria successfully concluded its 6th Child Writer Project in participation with the children of Prathibha Lama Samajaya at Rambewa Buddhist Centre, Anuradhapura recently, subsequent to the two day in-house workshop on the story book named “Kalu Awataraya” was designed by children’s with their own creative colorful drawings.

The story describes about a brave boy who helped the children’s in the village to overcome the fear of ghost who is really a man of such village became to such situation as result of bad friendship and helpless syndrome. Finally, the boy transpired the man from bad to good using his talent.

This event became vibrant with the participation our chief guest, Chief Reveren Bambarawane Rathanasiri of Rambewa Buddhist Centre and Mrs. D W C Damayanthi, Samurdi Develoment Officer, Thulana, Rambewa with CUP Officials Harsha Gomes - Vice President, Nadee Dissanayake - Secretary, Nishantha Perera - Treasurer and Assistant Secretary – Damayanthi Perera.
