Little Library for Polgasowita Children

The 39th Little Library of CUP was opened in Polgasowita, Kesbewa on 27th January2019, together with the students of Sri Wimalarathana Sunday School at Halpita, Polgasowita.

The main objective of setting up this library is to enhance the interest in reading among young learners and ultimately to create child writers. About 200 school children would benefit from it at the initial stage.

Mr. J Dissanayake former Superintendent of Mith Sevana Home, Nugegoda and CUP Officials, Harsha Gomes – Vice President, Nadee Dissanayake – Secretary, Damayanthi Perera – Assistant Secretary and Nishantha Perera - Treasurer participated at this event. The project was sponsored by few volunteers of CUP, Sujeewa, Swaruparani, Himani, Kavindu, Jithendra, Devini,Samantha, Madhuka, Rasheed, Chinthaka, Velu, Roshan and Tudor.
