Celebrating the Vesak Season, CUP organized “Vesak Bethi Gee - 2016” with the participation of students of Sri Dammarama Sunday School, Kudabibula, Hambantota, on 05th June 2016.

This precious project was sponsored by Cliftex (Pvt) Ltd with the intention of giving children an opportunity to show their talents in music.

Students from grade one to grade nine were took part of the event and they were divided into two groups as Junior and Senior. Two best groups were selected from each section.

All the children seemed to enjoy the event and all of them were gifted with the Sunday school uniform and exercise books at the end of the event.

Sangeeth Visharad, Ramya De Silva, Music teacher of Nalagama Maha Vidyalaya, Beliatta and Sangeeth Visharad, Nadee Dissanayake, Secretary - CUP participated as the panellists of the event and Harsha Gomes, Vice President - CUP, Damayanthi Perera, Assistant Secretary - CUP along with Nishantha Perera, Treasurer - CUP were of great assist to the panellists.

It is truly important to let the young children understand the values of their religion and cultural ethics blended with the same. Children are our future, and we should guide them to raise up with the influence of our religions which will illuminate their lives one day.

The event was truly successful and meaningful with the support and contribution of everyone.
