The Children's Upliftment Programme (CUP) with the help of benevolent donors of our country has successfully contributed towards set-up a SriLanka first Visual Rehabilitation Unit at Karapitiya Teaching Hospital, Galle recently.
Prominently this Special Unit will be treating nearby residence of the Galle District who are with visual impairment syndrome, whereas recent statistics shows that there around Seven Hundred children’s are with this syndrome in this area.
This landmark event participated by Dr.Muditha Amarasinghe - Deputy Director, Dr.Prof.Sujeewa Amarasena, Dr.Gemunu Hewawitharana - Pediatric Specialist and the Staffs of Karaptiya Teaching Hospital with CUP Officials, Mr.Harsha Gomes - Vice President, Mrs.Nadee Dissanayake - Secretary, Mr.Nishantha Perera - Treasurer.
