To mark the "World Sight Day" the CUP organized a special eye camp for the children at parama Vishuddaramaya Temple, Katuwawala on 25th October 2008.
77 children were examined and 30 out of them were selected for providing spectacles and special treatment. This eye camp was funded by Mrs.Rani Weerasooria, member – CUP.

Ms.N.T.A.Dissanayake - Director, Mr.Sanjeewa Ediriwicremasuriya – Director, Ms.Padma Gunathilaka – Member, Mr.Harsha Gomes – Member, of the CUP participated at this event.

Ms.Chathurika and Ms. Srimali were present at this event as volunteers. Mr. Anuradha and Mr. Indika contributed by way of supplying the refreshments for the participants.
