A new IT Centre for the children of Colombo South was declared open on the 20th of April at Rathanaarama Temple, Polhengoda. This project is funded by Bosath Childrens' Education Foundation. The administration and management of this IT project is by the Children's Upliftment Programme. The project will provide an opportunity for the children of the area to gain knowledge in the field of Information Technology free of charge

The classes for the 2nd batch were started on 01.11.2008. 21 children were selected for the 2nd batch and they were from different schools in the area. Mr.Charith Kannangara – Lecturer IT Centre, made a valuable speech highlighting the importance of this IT course to the children and the parents.
