A library for the children who are members of the Kekulu Lama Samajaya was established at Nambapana in Ingiriya by CUP on the 24th of January 2009. Books in both Sinhala and English, a cupboard and chairs were donated to the Lama Samajaya on this occasion.Free exercise books were also distributed to 65 children selected from the area.
On this occasion CUP was also able to extend its support to the Pipena Kekulu Pre school by providing different kinds of educational materials to the kids.

Standard Charted Bank, Mr.Ashoka Wijethunga, Ms. Gayani Doluweera and Mr. W.K.Wilegoda were the donors in this worthy cause.

Pre-school children and the children of the Lama Samajaya presented a number of singing and dancing items to brighten the event.

Mr.I.Ranathunga, President of the Bosath Children's Foundation, and Mr. Ashoka Wijethuga were the Chief Guest and the Guest of Honor respectively. CUP Officials Ms. N.T.A.Dissanayake, Mr.Nalin Rodrigo, and Mr.Harsha Gomes were present at the event.
