Children's Upliftment Programme (CUP), a charitable organization dedicated to the cause enriching the lives of the needy children to bloom up as worthy citizens in our society, held their 4th Annual General Meeting at the Galle Face Hotel on the 15th February 2009.The following members of the CUP were unanimously appointed as Office Bearers of the posts indicated against their names, respectively.

Mr.U.R.Jayaweera Bandara, - Hony. President, Mr. S.Ediriwickramasuriya - Hony. Vice President, Mrs.N.T.A.Dissanayake - Hony.Secretary, Mrs. C.Wanasinghe - Hony. Asst.Secretary, Mr.L.Saranapala - Hony.Treasurer, Mr.J.Kariyakarawana - Hony.Asst.Treasurer.

Mrs.Rani Weerasooria, adjudged the outstanding “CUP donor of the year 2008" was felicitated at this gathering.

Amongst the items highlighted for action for the current year the CUP team decided that priority be given to enhance the knowledge of children on Information Technology , the history of Sri Lanka ,and to boost up their inherent artistic and literary talents.
