The Childrens Upliftment Program (CUP) was able to donate sports items to the children of Vijaya Vidyalaya, Karagampitiya, Dehiwala, on 18th June 2009 at the request of the Divisional Secretariat- Dehiwala. The items are appended below:-

(i) Cricket Bats                    2 Nos.

(ii) Cricket Balls                   2 Nos.

(iii) Wickets                        2 Sets

(iv) Volley Balls                   2 Nos.

(v) Volley Ball Nets             2 Nos.

(vi) Badminton Rackets      4 Pairs

(vii) Badminton Net            1 No.

CUP officials, MR. H.Gomes (Vice President), Mr.L.Saranapala ( Treasurer), Mrs.N.T.A. Dissanayake (Secretary), Mrs. C. Wanasinghe (Assistant Secretary) and Mr. M. Abeygunawardena (Committee Member) participated at the above event

At the above function the CUP members, Mr. L.Saranapala and Ms.C.Wanasinghe were able to identify three needy children to donate school shoes.
