To commemorate World Children's Day, CUP organised a special ceremony on the 01st of October 2009 to present a SISU DIRIYA scholarship to Praveen Damsara Ekanayaka, a student of Sadhana Pre School, Divulapitiya. Praveen, the only child in his family, lost his father during the war and now lives with his mother. The scholarship to Praveen is sponsored by Ms.Padma Gunathilaka in memory of her father and Uncle.
