CUP has extended its support to answer a long standing need of Pipena Kekulu Pre- School in Nambapana, Ingiriya by developing their playground. Ms.C.Kodituwakku and Standard Charted Bank contributed funds for the see–saw and the set of swings. Ms.C. Wanasinghe, Mrs.Rani Weerasuria , Mr.R.Dissanayake and Ms. Tamara de Silva contributed funds to colour-wash the school and to build a fence around the premises.

The opening ceremony of this playground was held on the 25th of October 2009 with the participation of the principle and children of Pipena - Kekulu Pre- School, and the CUP Officials.
