The concept of "Singithi Pothgula" - Little Library was introduced by CUP, in order to improve the reading habits and the creative writing among children. The 7th Little Library project embarked upon by CUP was established at Sri Sudarmarama Darmaraja Temple at Dehiwala. The children of Gamini Matha Lama Samajaya will become the reader members who would immensely benefit from this little library.

An introductory programme for the library leaders, members and their parents was held at Sri Sudarmarama Darmaraja Temple on the 10th of October 2010 and the Library was opened on the 17h October 2010. This project was sponsored by the City Bank and Mr.Kavinda de Zoysa.
CUP Officials Mr. Lal Saranapala, Mr. Jagath Kariyakarawana, Mr. Harsha Gomes, and Mrs. N.T.A.Dissanayake were present on the occasion. Further, the presence of Mr. Vasantha Senarathna, the Social Service Officer of the Divisional Secretariat, Dehiwala and Ms. Manoja Perera, Child Rights Promoting Officer of the department of probation and child care services at this event was very welcome and signalized an expression of strength for the activities of CUP.
