The fifth Annual General Meeting of the Children’s Upliftment Programme was held at the Galle Face Hotel on 18th December 2010 at 3.00 p.m.

Mr. U. R. Jayaweera Bandara, immediate past president was unanimously elected the Patron of the organization and Mr. L. Saranapala was elected as the President.

Mr. J. Dissanayake, Head of the Meth Sevana Detention Home, Gangodawila, Nugegoda , Mrs.R.Weerasuria and Mr .I .Ranatunga, President, Bosath Children’s Education Foundation graced the occasion.

“Annual Appreciation 2009/10” was awarded to Mr I Ranatunga, who has sponsored many projects of the CUP. A momento was presented to him in recognition of his dedication to the work carried out by the organization.

Finally, the new website of the organization was re-launched by Mr J Dissanayake.
