The prize distribution for the winners of the Gee Sithuwam 2009/2010 art competition was held at the Victoria Masonic Hall, Colombo 3 on Saturday 22 January 2011. The event was the culmination of a competition held over a period of three months. Children from all parts of the country participated in the competition. The children’s newspaper, Mihira, was the co-sponsor of the event and gave unstinted support towards conducting this competition.

The chief guest on the occasion was Mr Ajith Darmasiri, Chief Editor of the Mihira newspaper.

Mr.Ranjith Dissanayake, Mrs. Rani Weerasuria, Mr.Udaya Widanagamachchi, Mr.Champaka Ramanayake, Mr.Gaya Kumaranathunga, Mr.Upali de Silva, Mr.Lorenzo Jayasinghe , Mr.Roshan Gunawardana and Mr.Lolitha Abeysinghe assisted the organizers by donating prizes and providing refreshments for the event.
