The concept of "Singithi Pothgula" - Little Library was introduced by CUP, in order to improve the reading habits and the creative writing among children. The 8th Little Library project embarked upon by CUP was established at Sri Sugatha Sunday School at Kandewatta, Kegalle. The children of Sri Sugatha Sunday School will become the reader members who would immensely benefit from this little library.

The opening ceremony was held on the 07th April 2011. This project was sponsored with the support of Mrs.Rani Weerasuria, Mr. Dian Gunathilaka, and Mr. Roshan Gunawardana.

CUP Officials Mr.Lal Saranapala, Mr. Harsha Gomes, Mrs. N.T.A.Dissanayake , Ms.Saku Godigamuwa , Mr.Rasika Udugama, Ms.Sasanka Sandamali , Ms.Dilhara Karunarathna , Ms.Beverly Saranapala were present on the occasion.
