The 14th Little Library was inaugurated by CUP on 29 January 2012 at the Dandeniya, Urugamuwa Purana Maha Viharaya in the Matara District. The main sponsor of the event was Sabeer Iqbal. Ranjith Dissanayake joined with CUP donating a name board. Dilhara Karunanayake, Harindranath Chandrasiri, and Charitha Dissanayake also donated books to the Library. Roshan Gunawardana extended his kind support providing transport facility to the team.

Around 300 children resident in the area and the member children of Sudilena Lama Samajaya at the Dhamma School of the above temple will benefit by the library facilities.

Mr.Kithsiri Amarasinghe, the member of Pradeshiya Sabha, Dikwella, Mr.Manoj Nanayakkara, a representative of Radampala Maha Vidyalaya, Matara graced the occasion.

Members of Sudilena Lama Samajaya organized the event and performed their inbuilt talents to the gathering.

Tony Seneviratne, National Director of Habitat International participated in the event. The CUP officials who participated in the opening ceremony were Lal Sranapala - Presient, Harsha Gomes – Vice President , Nadee Dissnayake – Secretary and the members Nishantha Perera, Beverly Melder.
