The Children's Upliftment Program (CUP) successfully conducted a two day workshop on Library Science in Pelmadulla, with the intention of developing a deeper knowledge and understanding of Library Science among the younger generations.

CUP successfully set up a Little Library for the children of Sri Ashokaramaya Sunday School at Thawalama, Sri Asokaramaya Purana Viharaya with the generous sponsorship by Mr Daya Gamage, the Chairman of Daya Group of Companies. This project was initiated by Mr Nishantha Rathnayake, Senior Accountant of Daya Group of Companies. This was a rewarding opportunity for about 200 students of the Sunday School.
The 39th Little Library of CUP was opened in Polgasowita, Kesbewa on 27th January2019, together with the students of Sri Wimalarathana Sunday School at Halpita, Polgasowita.
It was 38 th successful Little Library of CUP, opening for the children of Sri Dammagaweshi Sunday School at Nalla, Diwuldeniya, Mirigama, with the generous sponsorship by Bosath Children’s Educational Foundation. This was a rewarding opportunity for about 200 students of Sri Dammagaweshi Sunday School.
The Children's Upliftment Programme (CUP) in association with the financial sponsor of Mrs Swaruparani Weerasooria successfully concluded its 6th Child Writer Project in participation with the children of Prathibha Lama Samajaya at Rambewa Buddhist Centre, Anuradhapura recently, subsequent to the two day in-house workshop on the story book named “Kalu Awataraya” was designed by children’s with their own creative colorful drawings.
The number of Children who become visually impaired as a result of brain disorders at birth, is being rapidly increasing now a days. Although there is a considerable scarcity of Doctors, Therapists and Nursing staff who are well trained and specialized in providing treatment, therapies along with the special care and the attention that these kind of Children are in need of.
Children’s Upliftment Programme (CUP) opened its 37th Little Library at Sri Kemananada Sunday School, Udaberagama, Ambalanthota benefitting close to 200 students in the Sunday school. In accordance with CUP’s new concept, the theme associated with this library was ‘Value of reading books’ - A timely topic to address the continuous reading dropout rate due to new media.
The Children's Upliftment Programme (CUP) with the help of benevolent donors of our country has successfully contributed towards set-up a SriLanka first Visual Rehabilitation Unit at Karapitiya Teaching Hospital, Galle recently.
The Children's Upliftment Programme (CUP) together with the member students of the Little Library at Sri Vishuddharamaya temple, Sinha Udagama, Polonaruwa organized and conducted its fifth Child Writer's Project on 6th & 7th August 2016. The Story Book titled “Muhudu Yaluwo”was launched on 24 December 2016. The story is the result of a 2 day workshop.
