Children’s Upliftment Programme (CUP) together with Bosath children’s Educational Foundation (BCEF) conducted a free IT Training programme for the students of the Sunday school at Sri Paramavishuddaramaya Temple, Katuwawala. An award ceremony of the 2nd batch was held on the 19th of June 2010 for the students who successfully completed the six moth beginners and advanced course of this programme.
She doesn’t want to let others to do her work. She prefers to be rather independent. She could see what others do, what others talk. She is Hashini Sewwandi from Mampe, Piliyandala gets benefited by Sisu Diriya Scholarship Scheme.
Fulfilling a request made by the principal of Udakekulawala Maha Vidyalaya, Bujjamuwa, a stock of books for the school library and sports items were donated by CUP on 27th March 2009. To make the day more eventful CUP had also organized an art competition to assess the talents of children, and from among the competitors nine were adjudged on the same day as outstanding winners by Mr. S.A.Dissanayake , a renowned children’s artist invited by CUP to evaluate and select the winners.

London Business School (LBS) has come forward to provide scholarships to the six best students of the programme to learn Spoken English at LBS. The three best projects were sponsored by CUP and the three best students were sponsored by the Lions Club, Katuwawala.
CUP has extended its support to answer a long standing need of Pipena Kekulu Pre- School in Nambapana, Ingiriya by developing their playground. Ms.C.Kodituwakku and Standard Charted Bank contributed funds for the see–saw and the set of swings. Ms.C. Wanasinghe, Mrs.Rani Weerasuria , Mr.R.Dissanayake and Ms. Tamara de Silva contributed funds to colour-wash the school and to build a fence around the premises.
To enhance the knowledge of Sri Lankan history among children CUP publishes a series of articles in both Sinhala and English languages on their website. These articles containing interesting information and colour pictures are very popular among children. Inspired by this popular demand CUP developed a separate blog for "Lakdiva Puvatha" where children are able to give their comments on the articles.
Little Vinuk, has volunteered to sponsor Eranga Abeysinghe of Central College, Piliyandala for his studies. He was able to score marks 130 at Grade V Examination 2008.The first instalment of this donation was handed over at CUP Office on the 17th of October 2009 by Vinuk Sedara Senarath.
Tharuki Sedara Senarath became one of the youngest Sisu Diriya Scholarship donors when she came forward to help little Himasha Katangoda. Himasha is a grade 6 student at Anula Vidyalaya, Nugegoda who has shown a lot of talent for dancing.17th of October 2009 was an important day for both Tharuki and Himasha as their parents met with CUP officials to finalize the details of the scholarship.
To commemorate World Children's Day, CUP organised a special ceremony on the 01st of October 2009 to present a SISU DIRIYA scholarship to Praveen Damsara Ekanayaka, a student of Sadhana Pre School, Divulapitiya.
